Extended Warranty
« on: November 29, 2012, 03:12:13 PM »
I know that the experts advise against paying for an extended warranty, but wonder what the consesus here is, if at all?  I have a dell laptop from Newegg, brought for someone, and a Gateway desktop from TigerDirect.  Both were bought with AMEX.

How much is it for extended warranty?  And how long is it for?

Accidental damage is usually not covered on any of the warranties which come with your item, our amex (past 90 days) so for that our may be worth getting something like square trade

Yes, its Squaretrade, for $80-5 years, I think.  I wonder if its worthwhile on a $300 PC.
