I was specifically referring to 1010 WINS, as they are IMHO notorious for being mostly nothing but a crime blotter.  As opposed to the other all-news station WCBS 880, which generally has a pretty good balance and a more civil tone.

BTW, I always wondered, how many cities in the US even have 24hr all-news station('s) (that would obviously exclude news-TALK station's = talk-radio)?  NYC metro area has at least 2, Miami metro has zero, DC metro I think also zero..

(come to think of it, Israel has none either)

880 only started in the past few years doing baseball, and it's only for a half a year, and perhaps a few times per week during that half year... Otherwise it's all news 24/7.  Come to think of it, we used to have Bloomberg radio also as all news (albeit with a business slant).
