Things to do:
Pier Village in Long Branch (on the boardwalk) is a nice area to walk around & shop.
Jersey Shore Premium Outlets is off exit 100A on the Garden State Pkway and has the best shopping.
Point Pleasent Boardwalk and Arcade
Seaside Heights Arcade + Water Park + Amusement Park
The Asbury Park boardwalk has some arcades, but not much else.
The BEACH! After all, it is the Jersey SHORE!
Six Flags Great Adventure and Wild Safari is about 30-35 miles away.
There are at least 4 golf courses within 5+ miles from the area.

Where to Stay:

Ocean place is really nice, just not sure if their are any shuls in the area.

Here are some hotels within walking distance to a shul.

Sheraton Eatontown Hotel (25 Min. Walk)
6 Industrial Way E
Eatontown, NJ 07724
732-542-6500
www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/

Staybridge Suites (25 Min. Walk)
4 Industrial Way East
Eatontown, NJ 07724
732-380-9300
www.ichotelsgroup.com

Holiday Inn Express Hotel (30 Min. Walk)
294 State Route 36
West Long Branch, NJ 07764
732-542-1234
www.hielongbranch.com

The bed & breakfast on cedar avenue called "Cedars & Beeches" is a cute mom & pop b&b that is 10 minute walk from 3 syrian shuls, 1 eshkanaz shul and the beach. Although not as extravagant as the Ocean Place, I would say that is your best bet for a shabbos.

S.A.L.T steakhouse is supposed to open this week or next, it’s directly across from LBK (Wave Resort) at Pier Village and it looks really nice and quite large. They have a full bar and 2 private rooms as well. They also appear to have a roomy lounge area. If you’re near LBK you can stop by and take a tour. Like LBK, it’s owned by Mizrachi.

I predict this will become the hottest dating spot on the Jersey Shore almost immediately.

Other spots - Primavera (dairy) has recently opened, and Akimori should be opening soon.

That would, of course, depend on your opinion of Entree.

Went last night, great food, great drinks, and a great vibe. The flatbreads really stood out. But still soft opening so the following should be expected - you will be waiting a while to sit and get your food, and they won't have the full menu. And reservations only.

Honestly, I don't have one. I'm neutral on Entree, but I know it's very popular...

I’m sure it’s excellent. How will they be doing with a 10 month off season? Still keeping the chef on payroll? Keeping everything fresh with no turn over ? I really hope he can survive but so many have tried none have succeeded.

Traffic from Lakewood won't be able to maintain?

Lakewood today is significantly different than even 5 years ago.

Lakewood also has more options than it did even 5 years ago.

1. Most of the patrons are from Lakewood, even during the summer
2. They will be catering private events, including Shabbosim. They can accommodate up to 250 people and it's in a hotel.
3. Many people consider Entree the only good option in Lakewood. Going 40 minutes away for a change is no big deal.

I believe if the restaurant is run well, there will be more than enough people from Lakewood to keep it running year round.
