why not. they have tried all the current restaurants and want something new and different.

1. Most of the patrons are from Lakewood, even during the summer

That is probably now during the soft opening when ppl don’t really know about it yet or aren’t interested in a restaurant during soft opening. I’d be extremely surprised if that was his target audience during the summer months…

3. Many people consider Entree the only good option in Lakewood. Going 40 minutes away for a change is no big deal.

Sort of ironic, considering he owns one of the only upscale options in Lakewood.

I’m sure it’s excellent. How will they be doing with a 10 month off season? Still keeping the chef on payroll? Keeping everything fresh with no turn over ? I really hope he can survive but so many have tried none have succeeded.

He has been very successful right across the street, he probably has a solid idea of how many people are willing to come up from Lakewood regularly.

And manhattan ambiance. Went for a drink. maître d's both in uniforms of tight black minis with lots of leg showing like some AC casino was quite unsettling in a kosher restaurant. Cool upscale place but not up to Lakewood tznius standards by any stretch.

Why would u think it would be up to Lakewood standard? Your in deal on the boardwalk. Be realistic

Ocean place is really nice, just not sure if their are any shuls in the area.

Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and know how far of a walk it is to Congregation Shaare Tefilah? This post from 2013 says 30 min walk but google maps looks like it is an hour. Anyone have any info on this?
