Things to do:
Pier Village in Long Branch (on the boardwalk) is a nice area to walk around & shop.
Jersey Shore Premium Outlets is off exit 100A on the Garden State Pkway and has the best shopping.
Point Pleasent Boardwalk and Arcade
Seaside Heights Arcade + Water Park + Amusement Park
The Asbury Park boardwalk has some arcades, but not much else.
The BEACH! After all, it is the Jersey SHORE!
Six Flags Great Adventure and Wild Safari is about 30-35 miles away.
There are at least 4 golf courses within 5+ miles from the area.

Where to Stay:

Ocean place is really nice, just not sure if their are any shuls in the area.

Here are some hotels within walking distance to a shul.

Sheraton Eatontown Hotel (25 Min. Walk)
6 Industrial Way E
Eatontown, NJ 07724
732-542-6500
www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/

Staybridge Suites (25 Min. Walk)
4 Industrial Way East
Eatontown, NJ 07724
732-380-9300
www.ichotelsgroup.com

Holiday Inn Express Hotel (30 Min. Walk)
294 State Route 36
West Long Branch, NJ 07764
732-542-1234
www.hielongbranch.com

The bed & breakfast on cedar avenue called "Cedars & Beeches" is a cute mom & pop b&b that is 10 minute walk from 3 syrian shuls, 1 eshkanaz shul and the beach. Although not as extravagant as the Ocean Place, I would say that is your best bet for a shabbos.

Why would u think it would be up to Lakewood standard? Your in deal on the boardwalk. Be realistic
It’s one thing if you hire workers off the streets and are relaxed about the dress code. It’s another if you intentionally implement uniforms that are suggestive for a kosher restaurant.

It only comes in, if that’s who they’re trying to attract to their establishment

Deal restaurants Survive the rest of the year at least partially on Lakewood.

There's plenty of people from the greater Lakewood area that aren't fazed by "Manhattan ambiance", and arguably this is actually the crowd they're targeting.

That’s for me. Then it makes sense to post it on Dansdeals. Some will see it as a plus some as a reason to avoid.

Wrong, Deal restaurants don’t survive the rest of the year.

As I said I hope to be proven wrong. But there hasn’t been one restaurant that survived winter, yes u have Dougies 656 and Sakura but all have reasons why they stay open and all don’t make money in the winter.

Edit: I’d like to add that summer business may very well be worth keeping it open all year.  However its very hard to keep serving top quality food when there is no turn over.

Their online menu doesn’t have prices. I was considering going this evening- can you post what some items cost (roughly)?

I didn’t take pics and wasn’t paying so don’t remember exactly
But apps were $30-$40 and steaks started at around $65 and went up to over $200
If memory serves me correctly.

It’s true about the ambiance, very nice cool vibe but they definitely don’t care about tznius nor did many of the patrons (when I was there) in other words it’s not entree with a typical yeshivish crowd, for some people that’s a mailah but for others a chisaron. Each their own.

Also very good drinks

I think they had a tomahawk for $275 IIRC. A typical drink rang up at around $24 including mandatory 18% gratuity even when just ordering at the bar. Definitely a different level than Lakewood in terms of the ambiance so the high prices are not without merit.

Dougies I don’t know now but with the old owner I know there was no profit to pull out during the winter. 656 it is known that they lose money during the winter but the owner keeps it open Bec he likes having a place to go (or what ever reason he has).
