hi, long time lurker first time poster.
i have racked up from credit cards a lot of miles and am planning on flying NYC to SYD for pesach. thing is i would like to do a stop in hongkong on the way there, and again over the atlantic on the way back to avoid date line issues with sefia. on the way back i would preffer to stop in israel for a few days if that's possible? and if not then again in hong kong.
i want to do this in first class.
so first of all i want to know, is the routing possible? can i route for 80k each way e.g JFK-HKG-SYD and SYD-TLV-JFK are these stop-overs permitted? (i know i will probably have to have connections for example i may have to do LGA-ORD-NRT-HKG-BKK-SYD but i am happy to do that).
second once i'm doing this, wich airlines have the best first class? who should i really try go for?
3rd any good tricks for finding saver FIRST? many flights have only economy or business. any tips or tricks? or suggested routes?
my dates are pretty flexible, but the idea is as follows,
i am planning on my arrival being a surprise, and i have a friend in hong kong that i want to stay by. i would like to leave between 03/17/2013 and 03/20 (so long as i arrive before shabbos) i then want to leave HKG on 03/24 to (on thai it seems dep 1:25pm arriving on the 25th at 7:40am) SYD
on the return i am looking to leave 04/07 and somehow route to israel. (this seems to be the harder part) i can't seem to find a good route that has first availability.. i can get from syd-bkk in first on thai but from there it's an uphill battle with almost everything in business if your lucky. i am happy to leave Israel on the 14th and it seems again there is no first but i saw united business direct available so that's cool. (unless someone knows how to hook that up further)
also any idea if all the miles need to be from 1 account?
ok any input?
TIA.
