One way flights with stopover

Hey... can I book a one way flight on points and do a few day stopover on the way? For example tlv-jfk with a 2 day stopover in Paris or Barcelona using only 40,000 points?

no. you can book a one way (at least with united this works) with multiple connections which is a stop under 24 hours. so you could go tlv-fra-cdg-ewr, etc... as long as the paris stop is under 24 hours. you could also do this in usa, say tlv-fra-cdg-ord-lax-ewr, as lond as paris, chicago and la are under 24 hour stops

You can go TLV-USA(stopover)-USA on AA.

That could work, but IIRC it'd have to be TLV-???-MIA(stop)-JFK, as no OW carrier flies TLV-MIA.

To clarify: AA allows a stop in the gateway city of the country. For example, suppose your final destination in the USA was ORD, and you want to stop in MIA, you could fly TLV-LHR-MIA(stop)-ORD, but you could not do TLV-LHR-JFK-MIA(stop)-ORD, since JFK is your gateway city.
