Way to marry unrelated flight segments

Is there a way to marry an AA flight segment from yyz - jfk with an ElAl flight codeshared on AA metal to Zurich? (The tickets were purchased separately)I want to get baggage fees waived (for first bag) starting from YYZ, rather than pay until JFK flight

they definitely cannot be married, even aa to aa cant be married

however if youre checking the baggage through from yyz, that might make a difference

The term Married refers to revenue control at an airline, not sure what it would help you here

Yup.

Officially I don't believe you could, but try showing them this and claiming it applies also to luggage (I don't believe it does but there are probably no published rules either way)
