Many hotels will give u suites as plat.
lounge access
breakfast

Just as many if not more will not give you suites, do not have any lounges, and will not give kosher breakfast.
It really depends on your travel patterns.

Can you requst free kosher breakfast at hotels that are in cities that have strong jewish populations? Where has it worked?

If you've stayed that much this year, you may as well try to find s/t cheap to do w/ c&p or just book.

+1 I sent a friend to Four Points Miami Beach with that method.  He was able to check in without an issue, and gave his own CC for incidentals.

i was trying to point out that on the spg website the differences between gold and platinum is minimal unless one has reached 50 nights
