How long would it take to transfer from SPG?
5-7 days easily.

Transfer from MR is overnight.

You originally asked about amex. You can use 1 7.5k M&M if you are transferring from spg.

I called Korean Air to see about booking on Hawaiian.  AwardHacker.com says they have first for 60K.  Transferable from UR. They took my info.  They'll call back in 48-72 hours.
I don't have points in my account.  Will they set up my reservation and wait for me to transfer?  What is the YQ?
Am I better off flying on United metal? Asiana can book it for 75K? How would I book it if I should do it that way? Or Singapore can book me on United for 80K. How do I do that?

Thanks.

Alright. I need a little help here. I am looking to book for mid December LAX-TLV then 4 days later TLV-MLE (via IST). I assumed ANA is my best bet. I checked their website and they don't show TLV to MLE, even though Turkish Air flies there. Any suggestions/ideas ?

Yes, none, UA likely isn't available, but if it is then its a much better product. Maybe, xfer SPG, call them, AFAIK SQ is 60k in J, call them.

Thank you.
It looks like partners can only access UA Saver awards.  Is that true? In that case, UA is  NOT available.  Only on UA for 180K round. ouch!

Want to book EWR-LAX in Business but afraid availability will be gone by tomorrow when a Singapore transfer will go through. Should I just book with Aeroplan?

Yes. Not worth risking it for a few miles.

Enjoy your trip!

I'm seeing availability for 1 person tom on United EWR - ONT at 7:48AM w/ stopover in Denver. I need 2 tickets. Any chance 2nd will open if I book 1 1st? Also can I cancel an Aeroplan reservation within 24hrs of booking if flght is within 24hrs? Thanks!
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

About cancel a aeroplan ticket. You can either pay $90 to redeposit the points. Or cancel the ticket and pay $90 change fee when you rebook it , it must be the same travelers and used withen 1 year

2 points worth mentioning:

1) You cannot cancel for redeposit within 21 days of travel. To cancel within 21 days, you'd first have to change it to outside that window for $90, then cancel it for another $90.
2) The $90 is CAD (currently around $70 USD).
