Called SQ got a yq quate of about 800$ on  a NYC-FRA-TLV route, I asked let's devide it into 2 separate bookings the YQ came out few hundred bucks cheaper.  How is that?

Same YQ pricing structure on Aeroplan for LH (if you wanna test it online for yourself)

Surprisingly, there's higher YQ (on certain airlines) per segment departing the US (or Canada).

I'll tell you I'm very new to all this an pretty confused with all the codes.... if i get it right.  OW you mean each way. An YQ means surcharges. Either way that means that I need to book each segment separately in order to save money?

That can be very hard specialy with Singapore. An we traveling 2 peplw6so it's would 8 separate bookings....
I wish someone can help me with that process. I have to travel on next week Sunday for my sister in law wedding, and I have no tickets yet.

Should've booked SQ segment online.

If he would book online the SQ segment, an then call for the second segment, wouldn't it be considered as 2 separate bookings? An then sometimes it comes out more miles as it would be be one booking?

He was charged for 2 bookings anyways (which was cheaper for him).

I have a flight that I would like to book and it shows up available on united.com but I keep on getting a eror and when calling in the agent tried booking and couldn't get it to book?

Try searching each segment individually on AC.
