I was talking about United.com
I figured out what happened. Unless I search for a day with direct flight availability there is no way to see a "forest-view" calendar with all direct availability. So it looked like direct didn't exist. I see it does now.

So you are right about VIE, but CPH does not have direct to TLV as far as I can see. Any other scandanvian possibilities?

germany 14 hour stop 2 adults and 3 children- stop is overnight- will prob stay in hotel near airport- they wanna know if its dangerous... i never did it and didnt find much about it- (flight is in business class)

What are you asking? Is staying in a hotel in Germany is dangerous?

Yes. There's a master thread flights to TLV or so (try googling it)

AFAIK the CPH-TLV hasn't been uploaded to the * system yet.

Bear in mind TLV-CPH arrives at midnight after all flights departed from CPH, so if you want to connect from there you will have to spend the night there.

In one of Dan;s posts on the main site he wrote you can use United miles to get to TLV using:
Singapore/Lufthansa via Frankfurt, Aegean via Athens
I'm not able to search for those routes on United.com
If I search those airlines inventory directly using Expert Flyer, will that be indicative of United's availability?
What about elite vs non-elite? Is that only for United flights?

Anyone know of a way to find out to which cities in Europe you can fly direct to from LAX area using United miles?

I know that there are direct flights to London and various cities in Germany from LAX, but I would like to avoid those two.

Do I have any other options?

"ANA search is far from exhaustive, it does not search all possibilities. To really search all options do a regular fare search on Orbitz and find all of the Star Alliance options. Then enter in each leg separately into ANA.
For example search for JFK-IST and then IST-TLV to go on Turkish via Istanbul, or JFK-MUC and then MUC-TLV to go on Lufthansa via Munich, etc."
Is Kayak just as good? I ask cuz they give you the option to choose alliances you want to fly with as opposed to click each airline separately.

So to just check domestic within the US is impossible? Say if United wasn't showing availability and I wanted to fly US Airways...
