Well, then that contradicts what you just told me. I wouldn't have chimed in otherwise.
I have a flight out of Bologna, 30 minutes away from florance. I meant I won't be going to Rome, Venice, Milan etc.... Which is a couple of hours away

Availability on Swiss business ZRH-JFK (using UA miles) seems impossible, I'm searching dates for the next couple of weeks and for March.
Can anyone help me out, or is this an impossible flight?

It's almost never available on any SA program!
On m&m you will have plenty of availability.
From Boston there is a better chance

They tend to open a lot of seats close in on that route.

Interesting.
Complain here: http://www.staralliance.com/en/contacts/request/?category=1&subCategory=1

Complained same day you suggested. They got back to me... today, two months later. And they were a HUGE help  ::) ::)

I am a Star Gold. Star Gold members are to receive "one additional piece of luggage where the piece concept applies." However, it seems that Air New Zealand does not abide by these terms.  Apparently, if one purchases a regular "seat" fare (described here: http://tinyurl.com/m4mx4kz) that one does not get ANY bags (as noted here: http://tinyurl.com/oaz95ss). I called and a rep confirmed that this is in fact their policy. Please advise what's going on. Thanks.

Dear AJK,

Thank you for writing to us at the Star Alliance Help Desk.

By being a Star Alliance Gold member, and depending on the ticketing rules of your journey, you are allowed to check-in an additional 20kg (44 pounds) or one additional piece of luggage, which means you can check in three bags instead of two.

Operational matters such as baggage allowance and seat allocation are handled by the airlines themselves.
Therefore, for specific information, you will need to get in touch with the operating carrier directly.

We hope this information is of help.

Thanks again for contacting us.

Trying to find an Air Canada non-stop flight YUL-CUR on UA website and the flight doesn't come up in a "paid" flight search but comes up when I search award flights. Any way to force it to come up on paid flight search so I can use expert mode to see award availability?

Expert mode only works with award codes for UA flights.

(miles are on 3-4 United millage cards)
United claims Thai air only has 4 seats available every day...

Go to ITA price out your trip and on the last page it says the charge there with the list of other charges

ANA Question.
I'm booking an award in Business, but one of the legs only has Economy available, if Business opens up on that leg, can i switch it to Business? Fee?
Also, can i change a segment/airline?
