any experience with getting AC to long sell you a flight?

What can I tell them to get them to understand?
What does the term "long sell" mean?

Im having trouble getting AC to long sell me an LX flight that ANA shows as phantom availability

its like they dont even know what it is ???
AC agents happen to be among the best in the business.

You tried feeding them each segment at a time? Giving the the flight numbers?

Did you call UA and see if they could see it?

yes almost all the segments they can see, the one they cant and ANA can is ZRH-EWR

I'm just wondering whether its phantom availability that ANA is mistakenly showing or can I book it with a long sell...But I also dont have miles in ANA to check to see if It would let me book all the way through

UA, AC, SQ all dont show it, only ANA does.....

Trying to get united to price EWR -> TYO (dest) -> FRA (layover) ->TLV (stopover) -> EWR
I can find availability on all the individual flights, but when I string them together in the multiple destination tool, it errors out.
I can connect up to TLV, but adding the return segment to EWR seems to throw an error every time.
The layover in FRA is <24hr, so this show work according to the fare rules?
Any luck with this? Pls update your results.

I'm looking to fly Lufthansa for jfk-tlv via Germany to avoid infant charge. I don't have any M&M or Starwood points. What is the best way to go about finding availability, and booking the award ticket ? TIA

check UA for availability, and to avoid YQ, though M&M does have expanded availability

Just making sure I understood. So I would be booking a Lufthansa flight with United miles ?

You won't avoid paying for your infant with booking with United.

You plan on flying J or Y?

I'm trying to book HNL>MCO through LAX on 8/3 with Singapore. Saver availability shows up for the full itinerary on United.com, and I can even reserve it, but when I or the Singapore agent search for the LAX>MCO portion it doesn't show up. I am not logged in to my United account.

What gives? Any ideas?

Edit: I am searching for 2 seats

I needed to search for the connecting flight the next day. Duh. The agent should've known that.

I've been searching on UA.com for a flight from Tlv-bkk in late July, early aug. There are no direct flights showing but when I search for a paid flight on matrix, a Thai (star alliance member) shows up as a direct flight operated by elal. Is there any star alliance member that would allow me to book this as a Thai award ticket or since it is operated by elal, it's not possible to book it thru star alliance?
