No, only way is to cancel and rebook using AC.

What if I book a ticket from my no status account for a friend who has an elite status with one of the Star Alliance carries, can this ticket be changed/ cancelled without extra fees? Do you think they might open space for mileage booking for a flyer with elite status?

TG usually only releases 2 seats at a time and UA won't show SQ so search AC as well. You can also break up your search TLV-BKK/SIN/PEK/PVG-MEL. If you don't mind going to SYD try searching to SYD via ICN on OZ.

Wondering why certain LH flights don't show up as options from FRA-TLV, depending on which flight it is married to (or if it's standalone).
If I search for FRA-TLV only 9:35pm departure LH694 appears on United.com, but not eg the 10:20am departure LH686.
If I search for JFK-FRA-TLV, ORD-FRA-TLV same story. Regardless of class, all that is available to connect to is LH686.
But if I search IAD-FRA-TLV or IAH-FRA-TLV or SEA-FRA-TLV then ONLY in Y it does show the connection to LH694. In J there IS availability from xx-FRA but it doesn't show any flights if booking through to TLV. I understand that there are no J seats on LH694, but why wouldn't it show a mixed cabin award, why doesn't it show it as simply FRA-TLV and why does it only show from certain cities, even in Y (I checked connection times and that's not the issue)?
Is this something that I would be able to book over the phone with SQ so long as I see the award on some configurations or am I missing some married segment rules etc?

its always part miles & part $

you can check availability on the Miles & More site from LH for better avail or you can also search on UA.com
