Since the above itinerary doesnt utilize either a stopover nor an open jaw, adding the following leg  on 1/5;
CO8801 New York(EWR)-Philadelphia 07:45 -09:02

Should work, right?
Correct.

i tried doing the addition but it didnt work. the agent said that if it was a us airways flight then they might have been able to do something but since it was a partner airline (luftanza) there is nothing they can do. So now i lost the booking and im stuck with 120,000 miles in us air acount. i hope something opens up as it gets closer.
if anyone out there has any need for a us airways mileage ticket and can swap with me maybe we can do a deal. give me a shout

Ygift,
How flexible are your dates? is there a specific date or range that you have to be there and can work around that?

I am going for yahrtzeit which comes out dec 30. so although i am somewhat flexible i need that time period and i try to be there for 2 shabosim. I prefer to be back for jan 3 work day but if i can only get the return a day or 2 later i would do it. the outbound is a problem because to go later then the 22nd will run in to shabos problem
meanwhile i am stuck with no booking and 120,000 mles that didnt even post yet to the us acount
as of now it looks like ill have to purchase a ticket in couch unless something opens over the next few months
i dont want to use miles for a couch ticket

Every ticketing airline has their own stopover, connection, and routing rules.  They are not always enforced.  Air Canada and USAirways are both pretty lenient and allow for multiple connections/stopovers.

I want to fly business NYC to TLV via Zurich-Geneva (stop there for 2 days) on Swiss, and then fly CO or US direct from TLV-EWR or PHL. How many miles would I need for that with stop over included using US miles? Will US be more lenient then CO on stopovers?  Thanks

You can do nyc-zrh-tlv with a 2 day stop in zurich and come back to ewr for 120K in biz. or leave from phl and return to phl without any issues whatsoever (pending availability of course)

Thanks. If I have 240K (wife and I) in both US and CO, does it make a difference which one I use (obviously I would rather burn the US miles)?

Great. So assuming I split carriers and go Swiss to TLV with stop over and return with CO, I see SWISS website that it has some flights servioced by PRIVATAIR from EWR to Zurich. Anyone ever hear of that? Is that something I want to avoid?

the 29th is to late. i ned to be there by wed eve. already. plus that cuts the whole trip in half.
if nothing opens up to do the mileage ticket i will buy a regular couch ticket on elal and then hope for a bump since its high season. that happened to me 2 1/2 yearss when i was with 2 kids so we had extra tickets to go in the summer again

if anyone can take a minute and call the milage center to complain i would appreciate it. The agent told me when the reservation was made that they would give me the courtesy of the 50% bonus as soon as the miles post so that i would not loose the resrvation. Now they are not honoring that commitment so maybe if there are many people that complain they will do what they said they would
thank you  My dividend number is 157H9R2

Privatair gets a pretty bad rap on FT

its a 737-800 with the old type of biz seats = not lie-flat or flat-bed

A biz class only flight.

Btw, most people complaints stem from the fact that people flying business want to see others flying cargo....

JFK-FRA-NRT-JFK would be 75/100/120 in Y/J/F.

whats y/j/f ?
so if im not mistaken this is a round trip jfk-nrt trip which they allow you to take a stop over in fra, and correct me if im wrong that it cant be the opposite as in jfk fra round trip with a stop over in nrt bec that would be a north america europe itenarary which would cost 60/80/100.
now how many stop overs more then 24 hours and how many stop overs less then 24 hrs does air canada allow?
