Does us air not allow a change to award ticket once you traveled the outbound already? Is there anyway around this?

finally they have these flights available but they are charging a fortune rt business 60k +190 +75 award fee

Buy.com, a site I shopped at many times, became Rakuten.com. You can earn ANA miles by shopping the ANA Mileage Mall. One of the vendors in the ANA Mileage Mall is Rakuten. Any idea if I can transfer Rakuten points I have accumulated on Rakuten's US site to ANA miles? If not, any tips on shopping Rakuten's global site and getting a small purchase shipped to the US for free or cheap? My goal is to earn a few ANA miles so I could use the site to search for Star Alliance awards.

If I find a ticket one way from tlv to zrh and the following day to nyc is there any way to book it with United as 1 ticket?What I gain is 7500 ua points +a few bucks in taxes.
On United the ticket won't come up if I search tlv nyc but on ana its available.

Has anyone noticed that Thai airways almost always shows phantom availabilty? Pretty much every time I look at tickets with a Thai leg I get the rapidly changing availablity message.

Sorry for the noobish question:

I found award seat availability on a US Airways PHL-TLV flight but it costs 120k miles. The same flight shows up when I search Star-Alliance but when I go to ANA there is no availability shown. Is this always the case that ANA doesn't have full access to partner award tickets? If so, is there a better way to arbitrage miles/points and get that flight for less? Thanks!

Ok, so does that mean in general only the "Economy low" and "Envoy low" on US Airways translates to availability through ANA? (as "Economy Medium" is the award category I see open)

Yes, only the lowest is available to partners.
