Or just logout when you search.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I see (on Air Canada's website) reward availability dates for JFK-TLV-JFK on Lufthansa/Turkish or Lufthansa/Austrian.

The following web sites show:
- On Air Canada, I pay fuel charges.
- On United, only the JFK-TLV comes up, the TLV-JFK does not show available.
- On Lufthansa, there is no availability.
- On ANA, there is no availability.
- On US Air, they have their own flight, so Lufthansa does not show up.

Any ideas?  Am I missing the obvious?

If you see a flight on AC's site but not UA then call UA to book it.

And for US, you will need to call to book any partner flights.

Is that my best option, I'll have 2 infants?  I just checked ANA, and I can piece the trip together for 85k miles, jfk-fra, fra-ist, ist-tlv, and back home again.

AC is only $50 for a lap child.

You will need to way out the YQ on AC and lap child on UA.

Thank you.
$606 YQ on AC, I can't imagine UA should be that much for lap.

When calling UA for the return flight that I do not see on their website, how do I word the conversation?

Thanks.  I figured that out while on the phone with them last night.  The total per passenger taxes, etc was over $150.  While on their website it was $41 (for one-way, the return was not showing up).  Before I could ask the agent 'mai hai', he put me on hold for 10 minutes, so I hung up.  Any ideas why the difference?

when trying to book award travel on ANA.com I had to register the second passenger and enter their relationship to me.  Does ANA only let you book for passengers registered and do they have to be related to the ANA member??

Not sure why $150, but there's a phone booking fee unless you ask them to waive it.

That was on top of the $150.  I forgot the exact amount, but IIRC it was around $900 for six passengers (again, besides 25 per person).

Can't seem to find a clear answer to this.

Is there a way to book a one way flight on ANA? I see people have mentioned it's possible but I don't quite understand how.

Also, does ANA charge the standard 10% for a child under 2?

TIA

Elementary Question...

Can anyone please tell me the top airline to start my search for in each alliance?

FOR EXAMPLE

Star Alliance -- United.com

One World --

Sky Team --

I am trying to figure out different flight options, but i am a tremendous novice when it comes to actually using my points...

when looking to book a last min flight nyc-lhr: united is showing me only united direct, aeroplan is not showing that, but showing swiss which united doesnt have and ana doesnt let me book anything. is this simply a case of me needing to call each airline or are there diff policies for last min award bookings?

Interesting question....

I am united 1k member with more than enough miles in my account, a friend of mine borrowed a while back 200k miles which he can transfer to my united account from his chase UA, but I don't want since I'm scared of getting A/Aed,
Now i do need now 200k for my upcoming trip, any suggestions how united would let me book the ticket using my account (for the benefits that I'm getting no cancelation and no close in booking fee) but retrieving the points from his united account
