What's the best mileage currency to use for 2 adults + infant on LX J from ZRH - TLV OW? SQ for 25k + YQ + Inf? Weird that SQ from Europe to ME in J is cheaper than intraeurope.

Edit: Hmm, might as well try to get seat for infant @ 25k miles + ~$150 as the infant charge is around $400

I'm in VIE waiting for Austrian flight to TLV. I booked the night flight which is in 11 hours but there's a flight in 2 hours I want to get on

This is Part of a United J award on Austrian from JFK. So the desk agent here told me she can't touch the ticket, only United can, but she did verify the flight has many seats left.

United phone agent said she sees no miles ticket avil on that flight

Is there anything I can say or do to get on the earlier flight?

FWIW, the first NZ rep I called said "no." I'd "only be entitled to a bag if I bought the seat+bag fare, and in which case, I'd get 2.

If you're on a jet (say A320 or B737) then a carry on should be ok - but the bigger/bulkier ones that look oversized might attract attention.

If you've booked the ticket ex-USA for instance and it has a domestic connection, I would assume the ticket will take on the baggage rules of the first flight not the domestic connection, but worth checking in advance.

A grab a seat fare with no bag - includes no checked bag regardless of which card you present!
