Verizon upgrade iphone 5 vs. 5s?

I have an upgrade with verizon and am eligible for an iPhone 5 for $200. I would like to sell. Seems like you can get about $600 on ebay. Should I wait for next iphone to renew contract? Will I make a greater profit?

If you sell first week yes you can potentially make more. Or what about an S4?

The iPhone 5 sold for close to $1000 the first coupla days after it came out.

But then again, who knows if the 5s will sell the same way.

If you sell right when it cones out you will make more money, but waiting 6 month after you are eligible for an upgraded  you will be wasting upgrade time till your next upgrade. Best way to make the most money is by always using your upgrade right away

If the difference is 600 to 1000 don't you think it makes sense to wait 3 4 months? Is that $1000 price only when sold overseas?

If it will be also $1000 than obviously yes. But no one knows what it will sell for. Hence, waiting six months is worth close to $100. It's your call.

I think a 6 month of upgrade is worth more like! 150..

Only iphones have such major hype that casues them to be under stock and sell at a high right when they first are released, also they usually are first releases in the USA so that gives them the international benefit over other phones (like the BlackBerry was prior released not in the USA so the time it was available in the USA it lost its high resale value)

But nothing is guaranteed the 5s could me minimal upgrade that it won't be as hot as the 5 and also By now Apple should have learned to manufacturer more at the time of release
