BA.com's new Avios Booking site - Best OneWorld award availability search tool?

It looks like you no longer have to "trick" BA.com into finding you partner availability when booking for Avios.
This morning I looked for flights from New York to Chicago and instead of making me jump through the normal hoops it just showed a newly redesigned page that showed no availability on BA and automatically showed me availability on American.

I tested this out NYC to Hong Kong, and even on a day with BA availability, it showed me a JAL flight right below that.

I've attached partial screencaps of each for your viewing pleasure.

This improvement has just made BA.com my number one airline site for finding OneWorld award availability.

After playing with it a little bit more, I am convinced that it ISN'T the best (with AA's month-long view and ability to search only non-stops being more useful tools, among others) but it has made searching on BA's site MUCH more user-friendly.

Make sure you put in "book with avios"

On the one hand you're right, Qantas pieces together itineraries for you sometimes but, OTOH, Qantas has proven to be dead wrong many a time when showing certain flights available when in truth they are not.

Today I was looking for availability to south america that was not available on Qantas while BA pieced for me a few different ticket for the same day

No engine will properly piece together itineraries, you have to manually check every possible option.

QF is not as reliable as BA or JL
