Thanks for all the compliments.
I write again: I said that it is very hard for me to believe it, however, this well placed guy started getting all annoyed when I kept on saying, thousands of pages have covered that on forums, as well as people agreeing on some Codes, that they are indeed cheaper then the other.
So to clarify: prices via a travel agent, hotwire, expedia, priceline, etc, and by calling a specific rental location, don't count.
A coupon doesn't count either.
I also asked not to write comments, but rather prices that were paid. To make it easier let's only take from the last year or so, and I would like to challenge the guy, with a proof that he's incorrect.
I went on making a a sample booking for 7 days from an airport twice, one with a corporate + preffered elite level, and one without codes or preferred.
I got some $45 buck difference on the total.
I gave hime the reservation numbers, and he told me that the a different rate codes apply to each, ie codes such as 9D, 5Wn and so on, which basically means charge less for the car, but as the result of the reservation doesn't include all taxes and/or fees, they will be made equal at the time of rental.(Not on the cent, but very close).
The final cars that you get via upgrades isn't relevant, just tachles the one you ordered.
It sounds as crazy to me as to you, and the guy basically hung up on me after I kept questioning him. He said if you don't want to believe, don't.
As I wrote in the topic "probably", just cool down guys, and I wrote no droshos, as I saw that coming, please just post your prices for rentals made via the rental companies (themselves, no third party), or remain silent forever.
