WTF, bulkhead is not a passageway, people are so rude...
+1 the worst thing is when the kids are throwing a tantrum and you get those disgusting looks from some bachelor (or from some of our own)

Nah, as they get older, (approximately 4-5 years old and up,) they grow into the experience.

Not all kids travel the same, not all parents either.  My relatives have 5 kids under the age of 12 and travel every chance they can AROUND the world. Europe, Hawaii, Bahamas, China, Israel etc.

It's part personality and part how you train 'em.

I know, right?

My wife and I had people trampling all over our feet on UA once. The FA graciously offered to put up a bassinet for us, even though we don't have a kid, to deter trespassers. :)

I disagree. I give parents dirty looks all the time when the kid is throwing a tantrum and they aren't even trying to help the situation.

That's unfair. You don't know the kid and the best way of dealing with the situation may be ignoring him

while that might be true for a long term solution, an airplane is not a time to parent imo. i look for quick solutions

i find the best way to deal with people that give dirty looks is to walk by their seat and poke your kid with a sharp instrument to set off even louder screaming. works like a charm.

You wanna be the model parent, fine. But don't do it at my expense, trapped on a sealed airplane at 30,000 feet, where I have nowhere to escape even if I want to.

+1 I have no problem resorting to bribing children when flying (and during  other special situations.)

When I was a kid our house was the most Nosh free home you can imagine yet every summer when we flew to Israel (just my mom and 5 kids under 6 at 1 point) we would each get a backpack stuffed with candies and nosh...

I am ignoring the kid, it's the parents I'm staring down...

+1, it seems we're like-minded on this one.

obviously I wasn't refering when the parents are sitting with their feet up and give up. I was talking about my experience that I luckily only endured once that my baby was crying for 2 hours straight and we tried everything and it took 2hrs to calm her but I got those looks ugh...  And then some super smart nerd came over telling me that she has some amazing skills that would make her quiet lol

On CX before the flight when they confiscated Rafi's carseat he was not very happy.

An old lady came over and said her daughter is a pediatrician and what we should really do is give him a suppository ???
We just nodded at her.  He fell asleep once we laid him down on the seat himself.

I have flown many times since with my kids and bh never had to endure this type of pain again. But what really p.... Me off is when people have no tolerance and it only makes the matter worse because the parents are edgy and the kid feels it

I think there is a difference between a kid having a tantrum and an overtired, out of his mind toddler/infant.
