79K Delta Miles were stolen from my account

I just found out that my 79K delta miles were stolen from my account. On Nov 24, two transaction 3K and 38K were transferred from amex reward account to my account and made total 120K. Then immediately booked a roundtrip ticket. The first of itinerary had flew and the return one is on Jan 9. I need your advice what I should do. Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you didn't sell your miles?

Why not contact the passenger and ask how they booked their ticket?

They logged in to your MR account and transferred to your delta account?  Sounds very interesting.  .

No 3K and 38K were transferred from someone else account. I don't know whom. Delta only give me the transaction Ids.

It cost 120K, my account only has 79K.

I am 100% sure. I only had passenger's name, not the contact info. I will call delta again to find that out. Thanks!

Call back delta, unfortunately the agent doesn't want to give me more info. She said how do I know you are the account owner. Since someone used your account, that means that more than one person has account info. So she can not confirm my identity.

They can mail a new pin or so to your address.

Keep us posted please with what happens. In all likelihood Delta will reimburse you.

The thief didn't change the password. I didn't get any email about the ticket, and only found out from monthly statement.
I used the default password what amex created for me when I applied delta card. I should have changed it. I will keep you post.
