Can someone rank these please? We need 1 bite donut reviews.
Any particular donut the highlight at any of these places?
Moved out of Flatbush a few years ago, so can't speak to everything here, but I'll try. You know the rules.
1.Schreibers- Their trademark donut. Small, but light, airy, and delicious. 8.7
2.Patis- I actually had the Paris Brest Donut yesterday. Very impressed. 8.5
3.Sesame- Personally I love the white chocolate donut, but it's incredibly heavy so plan accordingly. 8.1
4.Breadsmith- IINM they (used to) have Cronuts 7.6
5. Weiss- I don't specifically remember their donuts, but as a bakery they are tremendous. 7.4
6. Royal Donuts- Classic no frills donut. Kind of like the Bagel Nosh of Brooklyn wherein most wholesale donut orders are through them. (minus the cake donut.) 7
Never had Strauss or Taam Eden, though I have to try Taam Eden now.
ETA: If you want to do an easy walking tour, Schreibers on Ave M and East 5th, then Sesame on L and Coney, Bagel Hole on K and Coney (CMIIW I think they sell royal donuts) Weiss on M and 13, Patis on M and 17, Breadsmith on M and 18.
