I returned $500 to a different credit card B, will $500 reduce the total spending on the credit card B? I have spending requirement on credit card B, so I am wondering whether I need to spend $500 more on credit card B.  Thanks!

So card B has spend requirement X for sign up bonus Y. You return a $500 item purchased with a different card and had the credit go to card B. You are asking if your spend requirement has shifted from X to X+$500 in order to receive the sign up bonus Y.

It's a good question but I would guess your spend requirement remains the same. I don't know definitively (not sure anyone does).

Good idea! Recently, I paid off cc then returned to that card... They then send a check, but straight is way faster (if the store lets)... I'll try your way next time.

Plus if you actually swipe and press Debit (and enter your pin) the money will go into your bank account INSTANTLY.
