There is no correct answer. It depends on your credit score and report.

I know you want help but there are plenty of threads that already talk about this so please read those first. Don't make new threads about things that were already talked about.

identitymonitor.citi.com

That's the site for score and report not to tell you when you should apply for a card.

Agreed, he wasn't clear but maybe (since he called you confused) "this info" was referring to score and report. Lol.

Make sure you cancel before the next month so you shouldn't get charged the full monthly fee. There are ways to churn it...it's all on ddf..search it  :)

That site will tell you all about your credit report and credit score.
There is no site out there that says "nobiggy should apply for this and this card now".  If you have a good credit score then you can start applying for cards. If you never had a card under your name its better to apply for a card with no annual fee like the freedom card from Chase because its best if you don't cancel your oldest card (as opposed to lets say the SP from Chase which after a year you might close it due to the AF). If you already had 4 pulls and was declined due to little income maybe write a little more on the income and hope to get approved.
Hope that helps...Maybe others with more experience can give you some more advice.

My guess is your file is thin, that's why it didn't generate credit report and/or score
