TD BANK CREDIT CARD
« on: May 29, 2010, 05:26:27 PM »
Hi,

Im looking to make a balance transfer and I need a low APR for as long as possible.  The only card that I see with 0% balance transfer fee is the TD credit card. As it says  "0% introductory APR on balance transfers for 6 months after account opening".

Is there any hidden fees in this card and is there also no foreign exchange fee like the TD debit card?

Anyone have a TD credit card or know this info?

Thanks

Don't they charge 3% for BT's?

Thank you dan for your response but when I look at those chase cards at the pricing and terms there are fees for the BT's . Does that fee only apply after the 12 months are up? Theres no 3% or 5% charge for the BT? and which of those 2 cards would you reccomend for a large balance transfer and I wont be using it for purchases?

there are 2 things in a bt - the fee, charged once at the time of the transfer, and the apr which is different from the purchase apr usually.

there used to be some cards with 0% FEES on BTs, in addition/instead of apr offers, nowadays i dont think those are around. theyll all charge 3% ish. the only thing to worry about or look for is the leignth of the promo apr.

i hope i understood all the back and forth in this discussion...

pretty solid offer from TD 2% cashback and $400 bonus. Plus its a business card so I am assuming it will not count for 5/24(actually it looks like TD business cards may count).

TD has not really in the past put out competitive offers so nice to see this decent offer.
