Does anyone know how long it takes to transfer?

I transferred from Virgin to Hilton two weeks ago, the points in virgin were taken out, but the points in Hilton were not posted?

Up to 30 days. About 3 weeks IME.

I am extremely pissed right now. I just went to VA's website to get the number to transfer points and now in the T&C it says they transfer 1:1 instead of 1:2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

scratch that I googled and found this link http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/us/frequentflyer/fcpartners/hotels/hilton.jsp
but its an old link I called its still 1:2 and the main link from their site still shows 1:2

I'm wondering if there's any use for me sitting on my VS and HA balances for precisely this reason.

That's why I prefer to hold onto them as VS/HA, since it doesn't take long to transfer and I might want to have the VS/HA over the Hilton points.

The only real use of VS points are:

1) 13K TO London in Y; and
2) Redemptions on VX.

There does seem to be some nice product to fly on.

Again just my opinion, would rather use the miles for a flight, then redeeming for a couple of nights, when i can get hotels other ways. (especially when you have a balance of SPG over six figures

)
