Getting an amex card approved quicker

I did a 3bm for amex yesterday, Everything is still "in progress". I want to get ptnm card approved quickly so I can get in $200 credit before jan1.
Do I call AMEX: 866-314-0237 (Application reconsideration) to have someone push teh app through?
Is there a reference number somewhere (like chase) so they can just pull up the pltnm application...I don't really want them seeing the other 2 cards.

Check the application status online, alot of times they show up over there as approved very fast.

And unlike Chase, Amex usually sees both aplications even if you mention only one.
