yes I saw your question. and answered you that out of those 4 w on lexington is the best. but it depends on the cash rate, depends what area you want to be near and how many people you are traveling with etc.

Sorry about the misunderstanding...I missed the boat ::)

Either way, back to the matter at hand I am basically looking for a nice modern style hotel in the range of those 4. I prefer SPG and thought those 4 were the most decent for my budget. It doesn't matter where in the city it is located and its for two people.
 Any suggestions?

In relation to what? Money, points, redemption value?

I've spent that amount at a few SLS and St Regis. I enjoyed them all.

The St Regis in Manhattan is a definite upgrade from the 20k Le Meridean or a 12k W. Plus it has many suites so status does help. Much bigger than the Chatwal, though personilized service isn't the same.

I stayed at the W on Lexington and would not recommend. I stayed in a studio suite. The rooms had an old feel to them, the decor was low-end and cheapy. The bathroom was tiny and bare. It almost felt like a dormitory. The only plus side was that it was very clean and I am usually very picky with the cleanliness in hotels.

The lobby is nice and there is a nice lounge there as well.
