Soo.. Looking for a decent hotel in the City next week sunday night.

Looking right now at Andez 5th Ave, Westin New York Times Square, Four Points Midtown.

Tiny rooms but really nice. And the bathroom, my goodness. How I long for that rain shower (I put one in in my house, but it doesn't compare to the 10K system (yes system, not showerhead) they had). And the toiletries were amazing.
A ton of SPG points, though. I went on the SPG free BRG (was that two summers ago already?)

I stayed in the W Times Square last week for our anniversary. For 20k spg maybe wasn't the best redemption, but at least now my wife can't say that I always talk about the trips we are "going" to take and we never actually go anywhere haha.

The hotel was really nice. They sent a bottle of champagne up to the room while we were out. It wasn't kosher, and they didn't have a kosher alternative when I asked, but it was still nice. We got a standard room on the 48th floor. It's in a great location and we had a great time, but next time I think I'm going to go for the Andaz.

looking to spend one night in the city this week , willing to spend up to 15k SPG.... which hotel in the city will I get the most "bang for my buck" ? and is it worth it to cross the river to Jersey and stay in the W Hoboken or Sheraton Lincoln Harbor??

Hoboken isnt exactly a nice place to walk around at night after dinner

the advantage of the city is , that if you are out and about late at night it is easier and quicker to get back to a hotel in the city vs. having to go back to Hoboken...(especially if you are using mass trans.)
