In the thread for SQ A380 Suites, why would he want to fly non-SQ metal?

Kind of interesting it doesnt give a price for TLV-FRA.

Perhaps you'd have to do 2 redemptions?

Anyone have any experience with being on the "waitlist" for the saver awards? I know finding 1 seat seems to be relatively easy, but 2 seats is harder to come by? Based on Dan's recent TR he was able to do it, wondering if that involved waitlist or if it was available right away since it was so last minute.

Very tough. Easier on JFK-FRA than JFK-SIN

SQ does release a lot at the last minute.

Except it was just done ;)

Waiting for Dan to let us know his method... I mean, now that he's gone and come, there shouldn't be that much holding him back from sharing :P

No, I am referring to JFK-SIN (via FRA). JFK-FRA & FRA-SIN are easier to book 2 suites

That's probably safety-wise, Doesn't mean the airline will allow it

Just saw this in an article.

The shower stall strictly prohibits occupancy to two persons.  However, our crew was determined to demonstrate that this limit is only a suggestion and as long as we were not technically showering, that capacity could be pushed to four.

As for the reason, they have a max 2 person limit, is..

The limits on persons in the shower area are in place due to the oxygen masks available in the event of a sudden decompression. The crew, like many Emirates crews unfortunately, exceeded their authority by allowing more than 2 people enter that space together. They shouldn't be praised for this. Their disregard for safety procedures put you at risk and your encouragement for others to try this will simply put future crews who follow the rules at a disadvantage.
