My saver space opened up about 10 days before the flight. I was waitlisted for about 3 maybe 4 weeks. There were 2 empty seats as well. I thought it was great.

This is all hypothetical. Let's say TLV. SQ can book LH for that route I assume? I believe JFK-FRA is ~57K, how much more will it be to continue to TLV?

80K IIRC. 57K is with the online discount, you can only book by phone

But there are cheaper ways to go FRA-TLV than 23K, no? Perhaps it's best to stop in FRA and use other miles to continue onwards.

Not realy, doubt you'll get anything much cheaper, non stop.

The cheapest way to use points FRA-TLV direct is SQ ~17.5K so you're better off just booking all on one ticket for 75k.

If LX has availability you may wanna fly to TLV via ZRH so you get business class to TLV.
