The Syrian Question
« on: December 18, 2012, 04:43:44 PM »
Where is the world?! Why the silence?!
Can it just be that they are to busy with Israel building kitchens and playgrounds? If they are so concerned with "peace", why the silence when 50 thousand innocent syrians are being ruthlessly slaughtered?

Tell me where "The world" was in all of these places, I'll tell you where the "world" is now.

Short answer: "The world" has more important things to do with its life...

Like....?
Well if Israel would just be like everyone else and have the B.... to not care about what "The world" thinks then pretty soon everyone would forget us and get on with our life. Weakness invites pressure.

Last time I checked Israel was part of the world. Isn’t Syria a neighbor of Israel? What is Israel doing to help out one of their neighbors? Is Israel to busy building (as you put it) kitchen and playgrounds to help 50 thousand innocent Syrians that are being ruthlessly slaughtered?

If Israel get's involved it'll be seen as an act of aggression/war.

its because IMHO that the "Arab Spring" isnt a good thing and the western governments recognize it and dont want to support it. look at Egypt and look at Libya, the people still hate the west and now we have even less support/love ect.. from the arab spring

in Syria what is worse the foolish government or the extremists that want to take over ?

but chemical wepeans is a big problem .......... just my 2 cents

What’s funny is you pretending you care about Syria. It is just another chance for you to spew your anti-American garbage.

It will be  worse for Israel once Assad is out of power and the country is being run by a gamut of Terrorist Organizations. Much worse

This guy claims the rebels want peace with Israel http://www.timesofisrael.com/welfare-minister-syrian-rebels-want-peace-with-israel/

Either way, you have a point and the world needs to tread with caution, but we are talking about 50,000 deaths.
and sooner or later the assad regime will topple either way, and then the syrians will be angry at the US and the world for staying quiet, and I don't think this is helping the US position in the long run.
