I'm at cvs now. Just purchased with CC. Cashier had no idea about any upcoming changes. Offered to call manager. I said don't worry about it. Have to come back Tom anyways.

This is in NJ

I didn't read all the comments from the last 5-10 pages, but it sure seems that it's because of fraud. I read that ppl would buy VR then call their cc and said their card was stolen. Bank has to waive the charge and you have $500 VR now to load to BB. I also read people were buying them to then do drug purchases with which is somehow safer for them than other payment methods. (Not sure why cash isn't the safest for them

)

I don't understand how people can get away with them if their license was scanned by CVS...

Seems like we should have some sort of moment-of-silence, a Siyum, or a commemorative food/snack to mark this sudden shift in life.

After a year and a half of this activity, it will take a bit of adjustment of routes, scheduling, and long-term plans...

The good thing is that we had 24+ hrs. notice, B"H. Would have been crazy for everyone to show up one day and find out it was suddenly no ccs/Cash only.

My experience is that the register is programmed to not accept credit card payment for the MyVanilla prepaid reloadable card nor for Vanilla reload.
