Since Vanilla Reloads are no longer able to be purchased with a CC at CVS or any other location, this thread is for historical purposes only.

If I would write where VR is available, by tomorrow it will never be available again. So instead, we will nominate this thread as the place where everyone can complain that there's no VR, and everyone will be happy.

And it was good.


Regarding OneVanilla (OV) and other Vanilla branded GCs:

1. These are not Vanilla Reloads. You are in the wrong thread to learn about them.

2. As long as you are here, they no longer work at WM to load to BB at the cashier or ATM, nor will they work there for MOs. Your best bets are to use Evolve (there is a thread for that), Amazon Payments (there is a thread for that, too), or use them for regular spending in stores or online. At some grocery stores customer service desks, you can use OV to buy a MO.

If the cashier at WM is savy, it doesn't matter what you try using.  They are onto all of the GC's.  The reason people like the OV is because it doesn't say gift card on it and the pin is whatever you select at first use.

exactly. Not sure what the question was to begin with. I like OVs for two reasons. No 'GIFT CARD' logo on ur and its $1 cheaper activation fee...

Disclaimer: I can't say for sure how it is in NYC, but in my area the BP gas stations and 7-11s sell OVs with CCs.

Of course...
I had Chase put on a spend notification of $3000 on my SP before I went to CVS for OVs. I get to the register and the lady won't use my license to put more than 1 OV on a transaction. After 2 $500 transactions, my SP says no more. Classic.
Had to use LH for the rest of them.

Is there any way for a cashier to bypass the 'wrong tender' notification they get when they ring up a CC with an OV?
I'm getting antsy in trying to reach my four spend thresholds...

I tried to add ov onto my bb acc by Walmart and it didn't go through for some reason, I had to go to 3 different cashiers and each 1 didn't work, they were like theres something wrong with ur card, does anyone know what this is? Did it happen to anyone else?
