Since Vanilla Reloads are no longer able to be purchased with a CC at CVS or any other location, this thread is for historical purposes only.

If I would write where VR is available, by tomorrow it will never be available again. So instead, we will nominate this thread as the place where everyone can complain that there's no VR, and everyone will be happy.

And it was good.


Regarding OneVanilla (OV) and other Vanilla branded GCs:

1. These are not Vanilla Reloads. You are in the wrong thread to learn about them.

2. As long as you are here, they no longer work at WM to load to BB at the cashier or ATM, nor will they work there for MOs. Your best bets are to use Evolve (there is a thread for that), Amazon Payments (there is a thread for that, too), or use them for regular spending in stores or online. At some grocery stores customer service desks, you can use OV to buy a MO.

They have a list at the register.  When a cashier is uncertain, I check the list with her.  I think only OV is cc-able not MVD.  But check.

2 bad experiences this week.

2 days ago I was told I'm limited to $1k per transaction (sounded like a made up rule),
today in a different cvs, a cashier tried helping me buy 2k but was blocked by the system. 
I handed him my license but he said it didn't matter, the system was blocking me from purchasing more than 500 either way.

He mentioned that they got new software recently, anyone else experience hard coded changes?

Sorry, I wasn't commenting on the blocking experience. I just can't figure out what you're doing with what you buy since Vanilla-BB is dead. Unless you know something about AMEX gc's or MoneyPak... but clearly you're not interested in sharing. Also, I wouldn't expect anyone to have recent CVS experience unless they know the thing you know...
