I have like $3,000 in OV that was bought when it did work with bluebird but now doesn't work, does have any other ideas how to get the cash out? It does not work with AP i tried it

Check the balances on the card. OV definitely works on AP. For Bluebird at Walmart you may need to swipe the OV multiple times to get it to work, IIRC. You can also unload at Family Dollar.

Or you can go the Money Order route, but that's not free.

i hope someone will answer my question. i used to do the ov shtick but now that walmart does not accept it anymore are there any other spending threshold solutions? aside for serve?

Search for the money order thread.
Basically you need to find a store that sells $500 money orders. (Not Walmart for OV) Shoprite doesn't sell AFAIK but look for other grocery chains and try to buy a money order for $500 minus the fee.

vanilla reloads have nothing to do with walmart atms...the correct thread would be bluebird or serve which get loaded at walmart atms...maybe someone there knows about your particular store

I just went to the Walmart in Valley stream this past Saturday night to buy money orders from my staple gift cards. I was told by customer service that the Valley Stream Walmart does NOT allow any money orders to be bought with the gift cards.

Do you mean a Staples gift card? Or a Visa or MasterCard gift card that you bought from Staples? The latter works; they just are picky and refuse to do it.

It was a Visa Gift Card that I bought from Staples. I was told by customer service that they do not do it, because they have had "problems" with gift cards in the past.
