They are giving you a much easier option, just have them convert it to a GC and go to the bank and withdraw the whole balance. Easy does it.

I tried loading my MVD and it gave an error so I called CS and they said that my identity cant be confirmed so either they can refund me by check which would take 3-4 weeks or make them into a gift card which wouldnt allow me to take a CA, my question is can I make a dispute to my card company and make a charge back

So wait 3-4 weeks for your money back.  They're cashing it out for you.

Tried again today they swiped it and said it won't let CA (unless I get a permanent card)

Tip:  If you are a good bank customer they just might do a favor and let you take a CA with a temporary card.  I have a Citigold account and have multiple personal and business CC's with Citi and look presentable when I come into the bank.  Based upon that, they have let me take a CA multiple times from the temporary card.

Not sure if anyone posted this yet but I just realized you could use extracare $ on vanilla reload fees. I just recently bought a whole bunch of stuff and 4 x $500 cards. My total was approx $2,050 but after I applied all my reward coupons and $ my total was $2,005 which means the coupons/reward applied to $3.95 fee charge.

Also I found out you can use all your coupons regardless if you have the item in the coupon and it will apply. For example I had a $2.00 a $10.00 purchase of soap and was able to apply coupon to my total eventhough I did not buy any soap. This will work for auto checkout but a cashier might catch on depending how many items you buy.

I couldnt activate my MVD so I called them up and they told me there is 2 options get a check in 3-4 weeks or they can make it into a gift card, if its a gift card will I be able to just take it out of an ATM?

BTW, Duane reade started selling reloads also (but the one I found said cash only)
