Since Vanilla Reloads are no longer able to be purchased with a CC at CVS or any other location, this thread is for historical purposes only.

If I would write where VR is available, by tomorrow it will never be available again. So instead, we will nominate this thread as the place where everyone can complain that there's no VR, and everyone will be happy.

And it was good.


Regarding OneVanilla (OV) and other Vanilla branded GCs:

1. These are not Vanilla Reloads. You are in the wrong thread to learn about them.

2. As long as you are here, they no longer work at WM to load to BB at the cashier or ATM, nor will they work there for MOs. Your best bets are to use Evolve (there is a thread for that), Amazon Payments (there is a thread for that, too), or use them for regular spending in stores or online. At some grocery stores customer service desks, you can use OV to buy a MO.

I was in queens 2 nights ago and they said only cash. They said as of December no more cc. In the past I got with cc there

So CVS's computer screen told me "cash only" Reading some of the above posts, it scared me for a second. 20 minutes and a whole bunch of transactions later, I came to following conclusions...
VR can still be purchased with cc!  ;D
OneVanilla can too!  ;D
There is something that changed in their system... Not sure which part triggered the cash only note in both VR and OV but it is one of the following... CVS card scan, coupons used, ecb's used, other items purchased along with GC's...
Moral of the story, from now on buy VR's in a separate purchase, alone, without CVS card, and it should allow CC. I hope for your sake in 08701 and the like that this is what happened to you and not doomsday c"v...
