And I know you want more than 2x, but the Amazon Card gives 2% back at pharmacies, or at least it used to.

Thanks. I think the Amex Blue Cash offer that you're referring to is under the old terms, that are not available to new cardholders. The Wells Fargo deal is great, but I wouldn't sign up just get six months out of it.
The trouble with 2% back is it's really not much better than earning MR, UR or SPG at 1x.

CVS employees have been saying they don't accept CC for months already. Still working though...

just went to a cvs that i figured not too many jews are near, and of course there were none
now that could be they dont carry them, but maybe they were cleaned out

Some CVS locations never have VR. That is just the way it is.

Just tried my usual CVS. This time they're behind the counter.

Put 4 on my PRG. Tried to put 4 on my barclay arrival - they said to call a # to approve it. Called - declined. Tried to put 2 on it, got the same message, cashier said try another card. Put 2 on my SPG. Manager said that that's the limit for now, and I could come back in 1/2 hour to do the rest. They set the last 4 aside for me, and I said I'd come back maybe tomorrow.

Then I called barclay to see why I was declined. They said they declined the first charge b/c it was too big, but that the second charge went through. Meaning, when I didn't call the second time, they decided to be nice and approve it anyways. So I double paid 1007.whatever. They said I have to call CVS to get them to reverse the charge. Called CVS. They said they can't do anything. After some convincing, the guy took my # and said he'd have the accounting dept. call me back.

Oh, and by the time I got to the bank (my next stop in that list of errands), it was just after 4, and I learned that they close at 4. Fun!

All in all, pretty uneventful afternoon. At least I came home with 6 VRs for my troubles
