Since Vanilla Reloads are no longer able to be purchased with a CC at CVS or any other location, this thread is for historical purposes only.

If I would write where VR is available, by tomorrow it will never be available again. So instead, we will nominate this thread as the place where everyone can complain that there's no VR, and everyone will be happy.

And it was good.


Regarding OneVanilla (OV) and other Vanilla branded GCs:

1. These are not Vanilla Reloads. You are in the wrong thread to learn about them.

2. As long as you are here, they no longer work at WM to load to BB at the cashier or ATM, nor will they work there for MOs. Your best bets are to use Evolve (there is a thread for that), Amazon Payments (there is a thread for that, too), or use them for regular spending in stores or online. At some grocery stores customer service desks, you can use OV to buy a MO.

No, you're just buying a GC and now have to deal with WM. People have been buying GCs and going to WM for as long as ppl have been buying VRs.

as someone else mentioned any GC should work. Some are harder than others to set the pin. Also, some in WM will give you hard time since these are obviously GCs and basically have it written all over them. That's  one advantage of OV- it doesn't have the word 'gift' anywhere.

wondering how many people stole unused cards from say a wallgreens on elsewhere that didnt sell them on credit card and checked out on them at a cvs.

pretty sure I saw someone do that today, there were no VR cards at the CVS I was at, and he was checking out with them.  I called him on it "hey, where did you get those cards", "uh uh uh, I must have gotten the last few".
