Interesting observation, never thought of that, but now that you mention, it makes sense.

When you drive NYC to Miami, all the tolls are only from NYC to Baltimore/DC, after that for the remainder of the drive, there's not a single toll.  Mind you that NYC to DC is less than 20% of the way!!

Having driven the NYC-Baltimore/DC route many times, the tolls are out of control, you pay a total of at least $50 each RT just on tolls!!  Never mind that gas costs a minimum of $50+ these days RT...

Why not get a Chase Ink card.  Go to an office supply store and buy gas gift cards. You will get 5x bonus points up to $50,000 annual spend at office supply stores.
