IIRC the route only starts end of April/beginning of may.
I'm completely flexible as to when to go, spring is good, can't take off more than a week of school/work though.

I can't find any outbound dates with two J seats.  5/9/16 has at least two for the return, and the prior week has 1 seat IAD-LIM on two separate days.

Looks like availability dried up. Try searching from other gateways. I live in NYC not IAD, and I don't mind flying in on our separate ways. Or even flying coach

Even the availability I can find isn't direct.

+1. Was there in July and the water levels were really high, according to my tour guide, overall best month to go is September.

No, the 31st is flying day. One day to hike in, a day in the valley, and a day to hike back

Other than running around in your birthday suit , what's the plan for the day in the valley?

SF we'll explore, relax from the hike, and I'll try out my new DSLR toy.
Dan we got a villa on airbnb in princeville with the Amex promo. We're not renting a car for fear of a break in. A local there is hooking us up with transport
