BTW a cruise like that shouldn't be too hard for a company like Kosherica to arrange. and IINM as long as most of the people on the boat aren't Jewish there are no Shabbos concerns (as long as the cruise starts in the first half of the week).

+1, amazing series.

I'm pretty sure I would watch just about anything narrated by Attenborough. I loved that he actually made the trek to film in Antarctica and other extreme locales. The guy is well into his 80's and there he is, on camera in these far flung parts of the world.

So things miles just can't buy...

Although, I guess SPG/Amex will get you anything if you have enough miles...
even a RT (!) tik to Rome!

On a somewhat less "adventurous" note and also pretty high on my bucket list, not to mention infinitely easier and cheaper to arrange is a cross country road trip.

I found all of those on lan.com besides SFO-LAX which must be booked over the phone.
Click "notify" to subscribe.
And don't forget you owe me a trip report ;)
Haha will do - the trip report is yours.  It will have lots of photos of baby penguins :).

Thanks again.

I would absolutely love to do that.
Practically speaking, I can't see it happening right now though...

I booked tickets last summer for a trip to alaska this summer. A trip like this would take serious planning and its never to early to start. I'm willing to invest time into planning it if people are interested.

I also wouldn't be able to go for another year and a half but I'd start planning now.

This guy said the boat reservation was around $10k though, that is a bit more than I can afford...

If its within the 2K range (not including airfare) I'd be game (don't get me wrong I'd be dying to go no matter what range, but that's what I can realistically afford as of now).

Ditto on all that. I also have a trip planned for this summer (either Alaska or Hawaii - still deciding).

And remember that the $10k was for a 3 week trip - a 7-10 day trip will (should?) be exponentially cheaper.
