I booked back in August with the price mistake using Expedia and I purchased insurance on the tickets through Expedia. After making the change to my ticket to fly direct, El-Al refuses to cancel with out a $250 penalty and me forgoing the 75 charge each way! Expedia told me it up to the airlines to allow me to cancel. Is this an insurance thing I should take up with them? And why the hell does Expedia employ call centers that speak Spanish better then English?!?! Quite frustrating!
Do I have to file a claim with there insurance company?
Furthermore I have two separate bookings for the same flight, one booking is for the family and one is for me personally and I would not want to jepordize my personal booking, because I decided to fly alone.
Any input would be great!
--BerkleyCare: will only cancel with a doctors note.
