I might have been lucky for getting changed to direct on the way back. My return was originally via FCO, but was changed to via CDG because of scheduling changes by Alitalia yesterday. Got direct both ways. Saved money on taxi to and from the airport (no tolls, shorter time) better timing (no having to leave work early, not having to have a long Tzom Gedalya fast because of traveling by day).

DL rep told me a website gave out their direct number and originally it was a limited offer to specific itineraries. She said that "Delta will have to deal with that website". :-)

Does anyone know if the back rows on the Delta 747-400 the ones that have only 2 seats in a row, have the empty spot in the middle or near the window? Seatguru shows it as near the window (i.e. only the window seat is preferred) but Delta shows it as in the middle.

I'm not sure the exact dates but my family my had 9 flights for Pesach with a stopover each way for like 13 hours in Amsterdam - Switched both ways to direct a couple minute after the deal went up on Dansdeals.com

makes sense, after dan was all over the media after the Elal deal. Wouldnt be suprised if other airlines or credit card companies will start tracking... its bound to happen.
