amex plat, advice needed

I signed up for the 100k promo when I signed up I
had a prg card. Before applying for the card I
contacted amex customer service I asked them if I
would recive the 100k I was misinformed and told I
would recive the points. I opend a complaint with
membership rewards, It went to the "back office" I
was just told that there not going to give me the
points. They told me I could write a letter to
corporate to ask them to review the case again.
My time frame of canceling the card is coming to an
end does anyone know what my chances are at
getting the points.
P.s. The original phone call (when they said ill get the
promo) was on a recorded line under my prg car. I
also called up when I got the card to confirm the
promo that was also on a recorded line.

I had a PRG at the same time and had a similar experience. Was told to wait until after the third point posting cycle was completed as the points my end up in my account. If they do not show up, i will call again and see if they can approve them, if not, i will cancel and get back the prorated AF.
