I think that there will be more 'conversation' in a chat environment. But, maybe you are right.

When forums get to big the chat gets too fast.. I can barely keep up with Yehuda S threads...

BBM has an app for iPhone and Android. Also there's a limit on the number of members in a whatsapp group.
